A German refugee camp in Beirut. 15-year-old Noah must decide: stay or go? His traumatized Dad, who doesn’t speak, rejects to continue trauma therapy. Noah, becoming an adult in high speed, needs to decide whether he takes his destiny in his own hands.

Father and son are amongst a flood of German refugees who survived the Berlin Blast. They live in an improvised refugee camp. Having Lebanese roots himself, the father avoids being confronted with his past and the war.

Father and son are stuck in a future Lebanon, where protests against German refugees turn into riots and the activist Louloua and her underground movement become terrorists.

Can a refugee skeptical therapist and a nerdy car wash philosopher named M. rescue Noah and his dad? And will the terrorists really kill a child?

In a gender-flipped Lebanon where women rule, the investigative short series „Female Republic of Lebanon“ explores the political phenomenon of the new blossoming Female led shooting star Lebanon.

A Ukrainian German reporter team are first journalists to investigate the new power dynamics and societal expectations inside the Female Republic of Lebanon. They collect voices from winners and losers of the new gender order.

We meet a male activist in the woods, who is afraid of еру the feminist government and fights for male rights, we visit the Female Billionaire Club, reveal new scientific studies about capacity of female and male brains, follow the leader of Feminist Party, who argues that men and money never worked in entire history of mankind and we spend a day with a dedicated house man and kitchen king Josef and his teenage son Max, who wishes to be born a girl.

GANGSTERLÄUFER | 2011

Journalist and documentary filmmaker Christian Stahl accompanies a Palestinian refugee family that has settled in Berlin-Neukölln. He pays particular attention to the then 15-year-old boy Yehya, who is listed by the authorities as an „intensive offender“ and describes himself as the „boss of Sonnenallee“. Over a period of several years, Stahl accompanies the family through all the ups and downs.

Christian Stahl is a German director, author and journalist, based in Berlin. He studied in Bonn and Oxford. Before he founded his communication consultancy STAHLMEDIEN in 2005, he worked for over 10 years as reporter and radio presenter for ARD. Stahl’s book

„In den Gangs von Neukölln“ was awarded by FAS a book of the year.

In 2004, he developed the fictional documentary „Hundeleben“ („Dog’s Life“) with punks from Berlin’s Alexanderplatz, featuring Otto Sander and Maria Simon.

In winter 2007, Stahl produced the no budget short film „The future comes to Srebrenica“ with young people in Srebrenica.

His first 90 min documentary GANGSTERLÄUFER (ARTE/ZDF das kleine Fernsehspiel) premiered at Max Ophüls Festival 2011 and was shown in cinemas from Paris to Novosibirsk – and Locarno.

He was also director of various short films such as “ATHENA”, „20Zwölf“ and „Neue Nähe“. His films and books are award winning.
